Yesuvai pol allagullor yaraiyum ee boovinil
Ithuvarai kandethillai kanpathum illai
Jesus is the One who is the loveliest in earth and heaven
There’s never been or ever will be anyone like Him.

Purana allagullavarai, Boovil enthan vazhkaiyathil
Neeray pothum, veray vendam enthan anbar Yesuvai
Mannukkage maanikkethai vitidematayn.
He’s beautiful beyond all measure, All my life I need no other,
Jesus my beloved Saviour, You and only You suffice
Pebbles shall not part me from the Pearl of greatest price.
Mere… Pebbles shall not part me from the Pearl of greatest price.

Sampoorane allagullor ennai meetke kondeere
Sampooranemaage ennai unthannuk keenthayn
He who is completely lovely, has redeemed me from my sin.
Now I have given myself completely unto Him.

Yerusaleym kumarihal eththanai valainthorai
Ummil ulla enthan anbai neeka muyantrar
The daughters of Jerusalem have many times bent over to
Separate me from the deep, deep love I have for You.
             But You are beautiful……

Loga suga maynmaiyelaam enthanai kavarchiththal
Paava sothanaigalellam ennai sothithaal.
Let the glamour of the world and its attractions pass me by
Let all sinfulness and sorrows test me till I die.

Neermayl mothum kumizhipol minnum jadamogamay
En mayl vanthu vegamahe mothiyadithaal.
Even if the flesh and its attractions come to distract me
They’ll bounce away like bubbles off the surface of the sea.

Dhinamthorum ummai ulla anbu ennil pongudhey
Neseray neer vegam vanthu ennil sayrumey
Everyday, within my heart , my love increases, Lord, for You.
Oh come soon, beloved Lord! Take me to be with You.

    1. Several websites say the song was written by Sanyasi Ponnamma.
      E.g.

The song was sung by Sarah Navaroji. It is too early a composition to have been written by her.

    2. I initially did not know who wrote the song. Then one Jinu Ninan ( please look at earlier comments) informed me as to who was the composer.
