Why this Blog? 
This blog has been published to make these well known Tamil songs available to a wider audience by translating them into English. There are now many Tamils scattered all over the world and even some in the land of their origin who do not know the language adequately to understand these beautiful songs of praise and devotion. There are also many from other people groups who may enjoy worship using these songs; so they have been translated to give those who do not know the Tamil language, the opportunity to use songs originally written in Tamil. 
Here, then is an opportunity to sing these songs knowing their full meaning, for those who do not know Tamil.   
The translations have been undertaken with the following in mind - to be as close as is possible in meaning to the original and to maintain the rhythm and tune.
Most of all, may the Lord Jesus be honoured, glorified and praised through these humble offerings.
These translations may be used freely for worship of the Triune God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit  both in private and in public.
